    À l'heure où j'écris ces lettres il y a longtemps que l'on parle seulement de ce qui nous frappe aujourd'hui à savoir le covid-19.
    il y a longtemps que je ne reconnais plus la ville qui a fait vraiment mon bonheur parce que j'étais enfin et adolescente....épouse de José FRIES décédé il y a plus de septcans,ayant vécu moi même dans de nombreux musées,hormis celui de mon mari,Musée d'Histoire Naturelle de MONS,j'en viens à cette question: que vont devenir nos musées,le Théâtre de Mons,nos églises dont je partageais le goût avec la pratique de l'orgue mais pas seulement..

    .la très riche architecture intérieur par exemple de l'église Saint-Nicolas ou encore l'église Ste Elisabeth pour le site et que c'est de la hormis la collégiale de Saint-Waudru....dont ma Tante a été guide.....il faudrait redynamiser le secteur non essentiel,les magasins de vêtements étant en surnombre tant ici qu'aux Grands Prés sans compter le plus récent magasin.

    Prenez l'esemple de la rue de la Coupe qui est une rue à part : d'abord les commerces sont tout à fait différents,les restaurants typiques et sympas s'y mêlent... Pour le plus grand bonheur des amateurs que nous sommes, privés de cette convivialite...

    existe une photo de la Tombola de la Rénovation de la Ville de Mons.
    années 1950/1960 ils sillonnaient le borinage et tractait une remorque - plateau avec une "américaine" et vendait des billets de tombola ? Toute info sera la bienvenue. Merci

    Voilà prés de deux ans, je vous écrivais : ....Je cherche des photos des cinémas de Mons, principalement LE CORSO du temps où il était intact ( en facade comme dans l'entrée.) mais aussi le NORMANDIE, le PATRIA ( actuellement Plaza Arts ) et même l' ALHAMBRA... Un miracle pourrait-il se produire avec votre aide ? C'est très important pour moi et vous en serais éternellement reconnaissant....Jean-Pierre, ---------- Pensez-vous avoir retrouvé des plaques de votre papa ? Merci d'avance pour une réponse, J.- P.
  • Bonjour..... Je repense encore au Musée d'histoire Naturelle de mon mari et je regrette de voir ce qu'il est devenu comme par exemple le géant Constantin,2m56..... Je réussis hommage par la même occasion à la famille de Jacques PLATTEAU car ils ont été vraiment extraordinaire avec mon mari et d'une gentillesse sans nom.
    Monsieur PLATTEAU avait confectionné de magnifiques planches didactique concernant notamment l'ADN chez la souris entre autres sans compter tout ce qu'il avait fait ailleurs c'était un véritable artiste et maintenant quand je vois toutes ces photos suspendues je me demande ce que le Musée veux encore signifier..... Ceux qui le visitent aujourd'hui ignorent à quel point il.etait plein de charme et d'intérêt avant.
    Je ne vous cache pas que je ne passe plus jamais parler car j'ai encore un pincement au cœur et la disparition de mon mari y est évidemment pour quelque chose.....paix à son nom. Car il a énormément travaillé pour un résultat disparu en partie!
